Gareth Miller, Managing Director of Carswell Gould, has been appointed as the Chair of the Southampton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Group.
Gareth is taking over from outgoing Chair and Senior Partner of highly regarded regional law firm, Paris Smith LLP, Peter Taylor. Joining Gareth as part of a new dynamic leadership team is Jo Dixie-Goodwin, HR & Marketing Director at PSP Worldwide Logistics, who has been named Vice Chair.
The Chamber’s Leadership Group plays a central role in guiding the strategic direction of the business community across the region, championing local organisations, and supporting the city’s growth and economic development.
With a wealth of experience advising clients on behalf of Carswell Gold in its role as a growth catalyst to its local, national and international clients, Gareth is a natural fit for this important role with the Chamber’s Leadership Group.

The Leadership Group will now begin shaping its programme of activity for 2026, focusing on collaboration, inward investment, innovation, skills, and enhancing Southampton’s profile as a leading UK business hub.
