We’re celebrating after scooping a prestigious Gold award at the CIPR PRide Awards 2022!
Our integrated marketing specialists have been recognised for their outstanding work on the Watercress Line’s Steam Illuminations campaign, which helped to get the heritage railway back on track after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Carswell Gould received a Gold award for its ‘Let there be Light’ entry in the hotly-contested competition’s Travel, Leisure and Tourism category.
We were also shortlisted as a finalist in the CIPR South of England and Channel Islands Awards for our work with the boating charity Wetwheels, which gives disabled people access to the open water. The campaign ‘Making waves for Wetwheels’ 10th anniversary celebration’ attracted great media attention and boosted the profile of the charity.
Creative Director Ed Gould said: “Winning Gold in the highly respected CIPR PRide Awards is a real honour. Being nominated for two successful campaigns for our clients is a tremendous achievement and this a proud moment for all the team.”
Our creative team created a head of steam to help bring the much-loved Watercress Line back into the public domain following the Covid-19 lockdown period. We worked with the Watercress Line to bring a bit of festive joy to people. Despite the pandemic, the railway was able to put on a unique and fun event for all the family – the world first Steam Illuminations passenger train.
Carswell Gould generated great media interest and the Steam Illuminations was a sell-out. A media launch was attended by the BBC, ITV and Press Association, trade and regional press and the event reached an audience of over 61 million people.
Congratulations to Carswell Gould for winning this impressive gold award for its work with us on the Steam Illuminations’ ‘Let There Be Light’ campaign. “We were thrilled to welcome the public back on board for the world first Steam Illuminations event following the lockdown restrictions. Despite the challenges of the coronavirus tier restrictions, it was a delight for everybody at the Watercress Line to see so many people of all ages return and provide them with a magical and memorable experience. “Carswell Gould enabled us to reach a wide audience and helped us to get the Watercress Line back in action after the difficult coronavirus lockdown period. We are now back at full steam and looking forward to welcoming more families to this winter’s Steam Illuminations.
Carswell Gould was also a finalist in the Central South Business Awards earlier this month for the SME Business of the Year category – continuing its long-running awards success.
Managing Director Gareth Miller said: “Our brand of impactful and creative integrated marketing is increasingly sought-after, and we are so proud to have won quite a few prestigious awards this year. “The recognition of success for our highly engaging, creative campaigns and powerful communications through these awards is testimony to the excellent team here at Carswell Gould, whose ultimate aim is always to help our clients do great business.”
