Hampshire Cultural Trust has appointed four new trustees this month (August 2015).

Michael Wright, Tracy Osborn, Douglas Connell and Robert Boyle have joined the trust’s board, bringing a wealth of cross-industry, multi-discipline knowledge and expertise.

Michael Wright, who was previously managing director of Newsquest Dorset, is chairman of the trustees for BHLive, a charitable trust that operates Bournemouth International Centre, the Pavilion Theatre and a number of leisure centres across the south of England. He brings in-depth knowledge of marketing, sales, PR and strategic planning to the table.

Tracy Osborn is responsible for the commercial delivery of all English Heritage Shops in the South East, including renowned Dover Castle and Osborne House. She is also a trustee of Newport Minster on the Isle of Wight.

Douglas Connell, who is a heritage and charity lawyer, was chairman of Museum Galleries Scotland, a national development body for the country’s museums and galleries. His strong interest in arts, culture and education has seen him sit on numerous arts and culture boards and governing bodies of universities.

Robert Boyle was previously a partner of PriceWaterhouseCoopers and is now a non-executive director of three listed companies. Until 2013, he was also the non-executive director of the Hampshire Health NHS Foundation Trust. He has also been on the audit committee of the National Trust and recently joined English Heritage Trust in the same capacity.

Hampshire Cultural Trust is a registered charity providing arts and museum services for local people and visitors to Hampshire. It is governed by a board of 10 trustees, chaired by Alan Lovell.

Alan said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome four new members to the Hampshire Cultural Trust board. They bring a wealth of experience across a wide range of industries and we look forward to the integral role they will play in our continued endeavours to showcase, connect and empower Hampshire’s creative economy.”
