Sun’s out, Fun’s out!

Marketing That Made the Most of Summer.

Everything feels better in the sun, doesn’t it? The drinks are colder, the music’s louder, and the marketing is just….BETTER!

Summer brings a real shift in pace, and with it, a chance to try something bold, energetic, and unexpected. People are out and about, moods are lifted, and everyone’s scrolling in that sun-soaked state of mind. Research shows that exposure to sunlight can boost consumers’ willingness to spend and make them more responsive to marketing so it’s a golden opportunity to break the mould and do something that gets noticed.

So, whether you’re a B2C brand planning your next beachside blowout or a B2B team looking to bring some heat to your content calendar, this one’s for you.

So how do brands (yes, even the complicated software, B2B type brands) make a splash when the sun’s out?

Well, we’ve decided to dig out some of our favourite examples from the brands that do it best show you exactly why!

Salesforce’s Dreamforce: The Glastonbury of B2B?

Flagship tech conferences might sound a bit…dull, but Salesforce’s Dreamforce is anything but. Think street takeovers, wellness zones, live music, surprise celeb appearances (hi, Metallica 👀), and product demos and panels. It’s a full-blown brand world, designed to inform and immerse. It’s proof that even the most complex B2B offerings can be wrapped up in an unforgettable, experiential bow.

LGH Hotels’ “Summer Pops” – B2B with a Side of Sun

LGH Hotels played the summer cool with “Summer Pops”, a reward-packed campaign targeting corporate bookers and agents. With £12k in prizes, hotel takeovers, targeted email pushes, and a LinkedIn-led splash across socials, they brought sunshine to the sales funnel. Serious business never looked so breezy.

Malibu’s “Do Whatever Tastes Good” OOH + Social Combo

Malibu splashed their signature carefree energy across billboards, bus wraps, and Instagram with the launch of their “Do Whatever Tastes Good” campaign. The sun-soaked visuals and cheeky one-liners like “Vacay in a bottle” drove real cut-through, backed by influencer content and shoppable posts. It was summer escapism bottled, posted, and plastered all over the place.

Magnum’s “Pleasure Express” Campaign

Remember when Magnum dropped their new “Pleasure Express” range? They kicked things off with a massive 3D billboard takeover in London and Manchester! The kind that actually stops people mid-scroll and mid-street. Then they kept the energy going with playful social challenges and behind-the-scenes content. A classic Magnum move mixing old-school OOH with new-school scroll-bait. Bold, fun, impossible to miss.

UGG’s “Big Spring Energy” Campaign

Summer? UGG said, “Don’t mind if we do.” Known for winter cosies, they flipped the script with “Big Spring Energy”, launching their Golden Rise sandals with a full sunshine-soaked global campaign. We’re talking hand-painted billboards popping up across London, social media takeover that brought all the golden vibes, and NewJeans’ very own It girl “Hanni” front and centre, giving “sun’s out, toes out” the influencer collab it deserved. It was bold, breezy, and bang on season. Proof that even the snuggliest brands can turn up the heat when summer hits.

Whether you’re B2B or B2C, there’s no excuse for bland when the sun’s shining. This is your chance to turn heads, raise smiles, and create those “remember when…” moments that stick with your audience long after the tan fades.

And hey, if you’re thinking “Sounds great, but where do I even start?”, you’re not alone and we know our stuff. We know how to plan it, write it, launch it. So let’s talk…..
