The challenge
New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE) wanted to raise the profile of its world-class technology and innovation in the UK.
The ambition was to capture the attention of highly influential decision makers across sectors such as general tech, health tech and fintech. With a competitive international landscape and a need to build strong recognition quickly, the challenge was clear: create a multi-channel campaign that could connect New Zealand’s innovation with the right audiences and drive measurable engagement.
Our solution
Carswell Gould adapted NZTE’s global “See Tomorrow First” campaign for a UK audience. We designed and delivered an integrated, data-driven marketing strategy across multiple digital and physical touchpoints including mobile display, social display, LinkedIn, audio advertising and digital out-of-home.
Our approach combined continuous creative optimisation, influencer collaborations, and event-based targeting to maximise engagement. By tracking user journeys and retargeting audiences across channels, we created a seamless campaign experience that kept New Zealand’s innovation front of mind.




The results
Between February and June 2024, the campaign delivered outstanding impact:
- 6.3 million impressions and a unique reach of 2.6 million
- 8,571 clicks with a total exposure time of more than 7,400 hours
- Mobile display drove 2.6 million impressions with a strong 0.20% CTR
- Social display achieved the highest engagement with a 0.32% CTR
- Audio ads delivered a 95% completion rate through premium publishers
- LinkedIn reached over 2.4 million highly targeted professionals
- Digital out-of-home ads reached nearly 400,000 people, enhanced with geo-fenced mobile overlays
Across sectors, general technology performed strongest with more than 3.4 million impressions, while health tech achieved the highest click-through rates at 0.15%.
The impact
“See Tomorrow First” successfully amplified New Zealand’s tech sector to a UK audience, building awareness, credibility and engagement at scale. With strong results across every channel, NZTE now has a valuable foundation of engaged audiences and data to fuel future campaigns.
