Our Approach

The aim of Carswell Gould’s support for ABP’s Port of Southampton is to ensure that the port’s activities and accomplishments are effectively communicated to the media and the public. As well as communications support and media relations, the world-famous transport and trade hub takes full advantage of our skills in a range of areas.

This includes handling media enquiries, writing and distributing regular press releases, and creating content that highlights the port’s operations and contributions to the economy.

The Outcome

The results of CG’s work with ABP’s Port of Southampton have been outstanding. To date, CG has delivered 64 projects for the port, with a 100% media take-up rate of all press releases. The media relations and PR team has been successful in telling the tale of what goes on at the port, with a double-page spread featuring in the Southern Daily Echo every month.

Our designers have produced a commemorative book for the port’s 175th anniversary, and our creative minds have helped shape events such as the container terminal’s £100m investment, securing celebrity endorsement from Sir Ben Ainslie. Our web design studio has provided a new look and feel for the ABParking website, and we have also provided social media training for the company’s 21 ports across the UK. CG also delivers brochures, exhibition stands, logos, and business cards, providing a one-stop solution for ABP’s communication and representation needs.
